The Prague Stock Exchange weakened for the first time in nine days. The PX index fell by 0.13 percent to 1257.30 points. Banking companies contributed the most.

The Prague Stock Exchange weakened for the first time in nine days. The PX index weakened by 0.13 percent to 1257.30 points. The most significant contributors were the shares of Komerční banka, which weakened by 0.45 percent, and Moneta bank, which fell by 0.41. Together, they contribute 13.08 percent to the PX index. Shares of SHS PHOTON ENERGY and the power company ČEZ suffered the biggest drop in value. The shares of Pilulka Lékárny and České zbrojovka recorded the most significant increase. This is according to the data of the stock exchange website. Today, five of the ten main titles of the Prague Stock Exchange finished trading in the red. Among the declining issues were three - ČEZ, Komerční banka, Moneta Money Bank, which accounted for the vast majority (81 percent) of the total volume of trades on the stock exchange. SHS PHOTON ENERGY's shares fell by 2.98 percent to the closing price of CZK 71.60. The securities of the electricity company ČEZ weakened by 0.89 percent. In contrast, the biggest increase today was recorded by the shares of the company Pilulka Lékárny, which improved by 4.32 percent to 725 crowns, this was already the fourth day in a row. Česká zbrojovka is also among the other issues that strengthened. Shares improved by 1.09 percent to 554 crowns, it was already the fourth day in a row. The largest volume of trades, namely 58 percent, was recorded today in the securities of the electricity company ČEZ. The second most traded title (at 18 percent) was the shares of Komerční banka. Shares of the Austrian group Erste Group Bank reached the third largest trading volume - namely 14 percent.
