Prague-based fund MAM Private Equity has expanded its portfolio with the acquisition of another Czech technology-focused company, Comguard.

Last year, MAM added traditional telecommunications suppliers Raycom and Telco VNT to its portfolio, and now the Brno-based Comguard, a distributor (VAD) specializing in cyber security products, has been acquired.

Comguard, founded in 2006, distributes technology from companies such as Sophos, Rapid7, Honeywell (SCADAfence) and Trellix (McAfee and FireEye). Last year, the distributor reported revenues in excess of CZK 200 million with profits of over CZK 17 million and serves clients such as Škoda, Tatra banka and Česká exportní banka.

The MAM Private Equity subfund, established in 2023 as a qualified investor fund, was founded by Aleš Nykodým, Roman Sládek and Jan Novák.
