Slovak tissue napkins producer HoReCup has received an investment from Czech private equity fund Genesis Capital.

Genesis Capital enters the Nitra-based napkin manufacturer HoReCup through Genesis Private Equity Fund IV. HoReCup produces 3.5 billion paper napkins annually for hotels, restaurants and cattering. Company I mainly export driven as 96% of its production leaves Slovakia, of which 8% ends up in the Czech Republic. As one of the largest napkin manufacturers in Central and Eastern Europe it generates sales of EUR 19 million and profits of EUR 2.5 million.

GPEF IV is one of Genesis Capital's five private equity funds. The fund was launched in 2021 since its creation had invested EUR 150 million in 11 companies. The exact price and stake size in this transaction were not disclosed by the parties.
