Stainless steel and ferroalloy recycler Cronimet is expanding its operations in Central Europe with the acquisition of Metallplast Recykling, a Czech company specialising in the processing and recycling of scrap metal.

Metallplast Recycling was founded in 1992 and operates mainly in the Ústí nad Labem region. According to dun&bradstreet, Metallplast Recykling has 48 employees and recorded sales of $22.01 million in the previous year.

Cronimet Holding, based in Karlsruhe, Germany, is a global specialist in stainless steel and ferroalloy scrap. The company was founded in 1980 and now operates worldwide with more than 1,600 employees in 75 locations.
