Pacovské strojírny achieved a turnover of around CZK 300 million with an EBITDA profit of CZK 20 million. The tradition of production in Pacov dates back to the 19th century, when the impetus for development was given by the boom of distilling in the Vysočina region and the widespread cultivation of potatoes. The next boom in production in Pacov came in the 1950s, when industrial production began to develop. The Safichem Group took over the factory in 2013.

The Charvát Group employed approximately 880 people last year and had revenues of CZK 2.4 billion. It is based in Zbraslavice in the Kutná Hora region and has production plants in Semily and Opava.
