Local investment group Genesis Capital recently unveiled three key investments in companies specialising in technology services, digitalisation and engineering.
Investments were made in AV Media, which supplies visual sound equipment, and in PFX, a studio known for its involvement in the visual effects of well-known films such as Napoleon and Jan Žižka. In addition, Genesis Capital has now ventured into the traditional Czech engineering sector by acquiring a controlling stake in STT Servis. With this transaction, Genesis has acquired a majority stake in STT Servis from the siblings Šarka and Tomáš Ticháček, the founders who have carefully tended the company for more than two decades. The entry of a strong investor is expected to boost the company's expansion prospects. STT Servis, a family-owned company founded in 2001 and headquartered in Dlouhé Loučky in the Olomouc Region, initially operated as a manufacturer of metal pallets and agricultural adapters. Over time, the company strategically shifted to precision CNC machining, welding, cutting, painting and surface treatment. Its clientele extends beyond the borders of the Czech Republic to other Central European countries. According to the latest published financial results for 2021, the company achieved a net profit of CZK 28.1 million on sales exceeding CZK 165 million. The strategic investment in STT Servis is the latest addition to Genesis Capital's acquisition portfolio, which is progressively investing funds of EUR 150 million raised from investors over the past year
