Czech engineering group Wikov Industries has bought the domestic company Energo Pro Industries, which includes the water turbine manufacturer Litostroj, from DK Holding Investments.

Litostroj, which has been part of DK Holding since 2014, has seen significant growth in the markets in Canada and the United States. The transaction also includes subsidiaries Litostroj Engineering in the Czech Republic, Litostroj Power in Slovenia, Litostroj Hydro in Canada and Litostroj US in the United States. The company specializes in the design, manufacture and maintenance of hydro turbines, reversing turbines, valves and pumps. Litostroj is one of the world leaders in research and development, operates a specialized hydraulic laboratory in Blansko and has been successful in recent years in the development and production of equipment for pumped storage power plants, among other things. The company's annual turnover is approximately CZK 2 billion.

The Wikov Group is Europe's leading manufacturer of industrial gearboxes, supplying industries such as wind and hydro power, transportation, shipping, mining and oil and gas. The Group employs more than 1,000 people in manufacturing plants in the Czech Republic, Germany, Canada and India and has annual sales of around CZK 4 billion.
