Japan's Yanmar Group to acquire Tedom Group

PE firm Jet Investment has signed an agreement to sell its energy and engineering company Tedom to Yanmar Group. Under the agreement, Yanmar will acquire 100% of the shares in Tedom. The acquisition is pending approval by the relevant antitrust authorities.

Tedom, owned by Jet Investment since 2019, is one of the world's leading manufacturers of CHP units and a provider of comprehensive solutions and maintenance of distributed energy systems. With approximately 1,000 employees, it operates in the Czech Republic, Germany, Poland, Slovakia, the USA, the UK and Kazakhstan. The company is expected to achieve sales of approximately CZK 8 billion in 2024.

Founded in 1997, Jet Investment specializes in investments in Central European industrial sector. Co-partners are Igor Fait, Lubor Turza, Libor Šparlinek and Marek Malík. Jet Investment currently has an additional CZK 3.8 billion in the Jet 3 fund ready for acquisitions of industrial companies.

The sale of Tedom will be the first divestment of the Jet 2 PE fund, through which Jet Investment owns the firm.
