VAFO Group through Pooch & Mutt acquires start-up Biome9

The VAFO Group, owned by Czech billionaire Pavel Boušek, is buying the British company Biome9 through the food manufacturer Pooch & Mutt. Biome9 is a start-up that develops tests for the analysis of dog faeces and supplements for dog food. With the purchase, VAFO aims to expand its personalised consulting capabilities and strengthen its development. Parties did not disclose the value of transaction.

VAFO is a family-owned company focused on pet food and supplements. It employs over 1,100 people in 9 plants and subsidiaries with annual sales of 550 milion euros.
