French aerospace and defence group Thales is buying cybersecurity firm Imperva from Thoma Bravo. The deal comes four years after Thoma Bravo bought Imperva for $2.1 billion. With this new acquisition, Thales will gain revenues of approximately USD 500 million and significantly expand its data security and application offerings.

Imperva is a leader in cybersecurity with revenues exceeding half a billion USD in 2022 and more than 1,400 employees. The company specializes in protecting critical applications, APIs and data at scale, offering comprehensive protection at all stages of a company's digital journey. Headquartered in San Mateo, California, Imperva operates in the Americas, Asia Pacific and Europe, the Middle East and Africa, enabling it to monitor threats in 180 countries.
