Křetínský bought a stake in French software company Quadient

Křetínský acquired a stake in the French software company Quadient through the investment company Vesa Equity Investment, which he owns together with Patrik Tkáč. The investment represents approximately six percent of Quadient's shares worth CZK 1 billion.

Quadient specializes in building IT infrastructure, such as for post offices, and facilitating digital communication between companies and their customers. The company, with a market capitalisation of €669 million, operates globally, with a significant presence in North America, Europe and the Asia-Pacific region, with offices in twenty-six countries. In the first half of this year, Quadient recorded revenues of EUR 522 million and an operating profit of EUR 68 million.

Křetínský and Tkáč invest in energy, retail, logistics and infrastructure companies. Their previous investments include significant stakes in companies such as the UK's Royal Mail, Sainsbury's supermarkets, Foot Locker, the Netherlands' PostNL, France's Fnac Darty and the Casino supermarket chain.
