Czech group AMiT has bought Czech-German public transport information system manufacturer Bustec.
AMiT Group, which focuses on the development and production of transport systems, has acquired a majority stake in Bustec, a developer and manufacturer of public transport passenger information systems. AMiT's purchase follows its acquisition of Top Power in August. It will add its production facility in Votice to Bustec’s site in Blansko and, with 600 employees, AmiT had become a Central European leader in public transport information systems. After the acquisition, the AmiT Group's revenues will increase to CZK 1.4 billion and its profit to CZK 300 million, which it intends to use to expand into the promising markets of Italy, Spain and Finland.
AMiT is 76% owned by the CEIP PE fund. The Central Europe Industry Partners fund manages a majority stake in 11 Czech industrial and service companies with a total value of CZK 480m.
