BioVendor Group, a Czech group of biotech companies, has been acquired by multinational investment firm ARCHIMED.

BioVendor is a Brno-based biotech company that has grown to more than 100 countries worldwide in 30 years. Currently BioVendor Group brings together 6 companies and 4 joint projects. The Czech branch with 190 employees is a global player in the field of diagnostics and cooperates closely with Masaryk University and CEITEC research centre. In 2023, it achieved a turnover of CZK 865 million and a loss of CZK 10 million. Globally, BioVendor Group has over 500 employees and offers over 6,000 products.

ARCHIMED is a multinational investment company focusing on the healthcare sector and smaller to medium-sized companies. After 10 years of operation, it manages 9 funds with a total value of 6.5 billion euros. According to ARCHIMED, the transaction value is between 50 and 150 million euros.
