The French company Vinci Energies will acquire InfoTel in Brno and its affiliate Locero, which are engaged in the construction of communication networks. The acquisition is being assessed in a simplified procedure by the Office for the Protection of Competition (ÚOHS).
InfoTel, which has been operating since 1992, is owned by entrepreneur Pavel Košt'ál through the INFOND fund. The company focuses primarily on the construction of telecommunications networks and provides services to major clients such as Vodafone, UPC, T-Mobile, O2 and Huawei. In 2022, InfoTel reported revenues of nearly CZK 992 million, an increase of approximately CZK 130 million year-on-year. It is worth noting that InfoTel made a profit after tax of over CZK 153 million last year and employs approximately 180 people.
The French company Vinci Energies is one of the four subsidiaries of the Vinci Group, which specializes in the deployment, equipment, operation and optimization of energy, transport and telecommunications infrastructure and industrial facilities and buildings. The Vinci Group operates globally on all continents, is publicly traded on the Paris Stock Exchange and reported a turnover of nearly €62 billion in 2022 with a net profit of €4.4 billion. Vinci Energies contributes approximately one quarter of the Group's total turnover. In addition, the Vinci Group also manages several international airports, but its main activity is focused on the construction sector.
"Investments related to the construction and operation of infrastructure are still interesting for investors in the Central European region, as this transaction proves."
