Czech fintech Orka Ventures continues to grow

DATART is owned by the HP Tronic Group, which recorded an EBITDA operating profit of CZK 942 million in 2022, down from CZK 350 million in the previous year due to unexpected economic factors.
DATART, which has 115 stores in the Czech Republic and 21 in Slovakia, opened five new and five renovated stores last year and has become the group's most important source of sales. The company recorded a significant increase in footfall and served almost eight million customers. In December, Datart recorded record daily sales, which reached up to CZK 162 million. The most popular service offered by Datart was the option of personal collection in store, coupled with expert advice.
In addition to DATART, the HP Tronic Group also owns the Euronics and Eta brands, the Kasa.cz and Hej.sk e-shops, and operates four hotels within the Valachy Resort and the Valachy Bistrotéka in Zlín. The group was founded in 1990 in Zlín by Milan Hradil and since Hradil's death in 1999 the company has been managed by CEO Daniel Večeřa. The majority owners of the group are Hradil's wife Danuše and their daughters.
